Rumbo al Trabajo captures a moment that, for me, represents the deep connection between daily life and cultural identity.

I was inspired by those early morning scenes in small Mexican towns—when the day is just beginning, shadows stretch long, and the only sound is the steady rhythm of hooves on cobblestone. I wanted to paint that calm dignity of the rider heading to work, framed by the timeless presence of a church in the background.

Watercolor allowed me to suggest rather than define, letting the light flow through walls and figures. Every brushstroke reflects the respect I feel for these living traditions, where work is not just a necessity, but a way of life.
