In “Jazz,” I wanted to capture that moment when music stops being sound and becomes pure emotion. The saxophonist appears completely absorbed in the performance, eyes closed and body surrendered to the rhythm, as if each note were emerging not only from the instrument, but also from memory, craft, and soul.
The composition in black, white, and grays is enriched by golden accents and fragments of sheet music, creating a vibrant atmosphere that suggests improvisation, elegance, and passion. The splashes, drips, and loose strokes bring movement and energy, while the contrast between the freedom of the gesture and the strength of the figure reinforces the expressive nature of the work. The gold not only illuminates the image, but also evokes the intimate glow of music and the emotional richness of jazz.
This piece is a tribute to the power of performance and to the freedom that exists within musical discipline. “Jazz” celebrates the soul of the musician, the pulse of improvisation, and the beauty of an art form that lives in the moment yet leaves a lasting resonance.
