Frida Tocado Rojo

Frida doesn't need color to command a room — that look is enough. I painted her almost entirely in black and white because I wanted the roses to be the only thing that speaks in color. That red against the grey is the whole conversation: everything restrained, everything contained, and then that explosion on top. She was like that. The stillness and the fire at the same time. The watercolor lets the ink bleed just enough at the edges — not a mistake, that's where she lives.
