San Miguel de Allende is a city of light, history, and quiet poetry. In Farolitos, I sought to capture the magic of its golden afternoons, where the streets glow with a warmth that feels almost ethereal. The towering presence of La Parroquia watches over the town, a timeless guardian of its colonial beauty.

The play of light and shadow was key in this piece. I used vibrant strokes to bring life to the facades, while the cool blues and purples balance the warmth of the sunlit buildings. The lone figure leading the mule through the winding streets adds a narrative—perhaps a traveler returning home, or a merchant lost in thought.
