Derrapón is a celebration of movement, energy, and the raw power of the horse.

With just a few bold strokes of ink, I sought to capture the essence of speed—hooves barely touching the ground, mane and tail flowing wildly, and the sudden shift of weight as the horse slides into a controlled turn. The splashes of ink mirror the dust and chaos of the moment, reinforcing the dynamism of the scene.

The circular canvas enhances the sense of infinite motion, as if the horse could continue its gallop beyond the edges. I wanted to strip the composition down to its most essential elements, letting negative space play a role in the storytelling.

With Derrapón, I invite the viewer to feel the adrenaline, the freedom, and the untamed spirit of this magnificent creature.
